Embodied Manifestation

0U8A0087

What I’ve found to be the most successful form of manifestation is embodied manifestation. When we practice this form of manifestation, we are taking it out of the thoughts of your mind and into the body. This approach is both a Tantric and a somatic approach – a body-based approach. It is based on the belief that unless you can actually feel and become the person who has whatever it is you’re trying to manifest NOW, then you won’t call that manifestation into your life.

It involves changing your identity… letting yourself die and be reborn.

If your manifestation only involves seeing what you want in your mind with no change in the way you think and feel, you’re going to continue staying the same self instead of expanding into the new version of yourself whom can hold whatever it is you’re trying to call in.

Of course, seeing what you want in your mind also has its benefits… I grew up with a father who taught me the principles of manifestation from a very young age. His teachings were focused more on a personal development approach: repeating positive affirmations and seeing a different life. What I can say is that this approach is going to create a certain elevation of your vibrational frequency, which most definitely helps during manifestation.

Positive thinking and visualisation are both very powerful, the key here is to combine them with a felt sense of who it is that you are becoming. For example, if you’re manifesting an easeful, deep and inspiring relationship that is in alignment with you, what you really need to contemplate is this: if that was the reality, how would I feel? Then bring those feelings into your body now.

One of the most important aspects of embodied manifestation is finding the good feelings that go along with whatever it is you’re manifesting and seeing them as available to you now, not just when your manifestation comes to fruition. If you let your happiness and pleasure become dependent on things or situations which are external to you, that happiness will always be fleeting. Many of us have this idea that when we get something external to us, such as a better relationship, more money, a new car etc life is going to magically become so much better. This is most definitely not the case.

Nothing external to you can change who you are at a fundamental level – that comes with doing the inner work and committing to your personal evolution. If you feel constantly depressed, anxious, tired etc, nothing external to you can change that. Sure, maybe the novelty of external things or situations will give you some temporary relief, but in the end, you’ll go back to being depressed and anxious.

If you want to change your life and call in all that you desire, YOU need to change into the person that would naturally attract whatever it is that you desire. When you’re doing this, it can be helpful to bring someone who is holding the energy of what you want into your field of awareness. For example, if I’m manifesting 50k months and I know someone who is earning that in a way that is in alignment with me – in their ease, inspired and serving the world – I’ll bring that person’s energy up through my base chakra whilst I’m doing my manifestation process (this process will be explained below).

Having this reference point can be a game changer when you’re going through the process of breathing the energy of your manifestations into your body, because sometimes it’s hard for us to even imagine what that would feel like in our bodies!

Equally as important, is cultivating a meditational sense of being in the world. This means the ability to be present with all of life – your emotions, your discomfort, your joy, your pleasure etc. It is the ability to be present with the NOW.

If the majority of your life is spent in thoughts of the past or future, your energy is in the past and future, not in the now… Manifestation does not happen in the past or future, it happens in the now. Therefore, if you want to manifest successfully, the first step is to become present with your life. Meditation is very important here, especially for people who continuously loop in the past, as that only results in keeping you stuck in your past self.

Think for a moment, about what you’re creating when you’re stuck in the past… Imagine you’re lying in bed, thinking about everything that happened that day, thinking about a conversation you had, a mistake you made, a regretful purchase etc. Whatever it may be, where is your energy in all these circumstances? It is in the self you have always been – your energy is thinking about your past and so it’s in your past. What happens when we direct our energy to our past? We recreate it… where attention goes, energy flows.

Unless you have the capacity to stop letting your thoughts guide your reality, you are not going to be able to hold the energy of whatever it is you’re manifesting… you’re going to sabotage it. Take this opportunity now to stop ruling your life with an allegiance to your thoughts!

Below, I’m going to outline a manifestation practice which has worked for me without fail. An invitation I give to you all, is to commit to doing this practice every day, along with the commitment to notice your thoughts. Notice when they’re in the past and also when they’re in the future, and instead of letting those thoughts control you, simply let them wash away.

Constantly thinking about future scenarios is often just as detrimental as constantly thinking about the past. It’s just another way to escape or control your life, avoiding the now because the now can be uncomfortable. Many people center their thinking around “how can I avoid being uncomfortable and how can I make sure I always feel comfortable”.

Tantra states that both pain and pleasure will always be in the flow of life, and pain and pleasure can coexist in a beautiful way when we let go of resistance… Both have many lessons to teach us and both can be doorways to liberation.

Embodied Manifestation Practice:

  1. Close your eyes and bring your hands to prayer in front of your heart. During this practice, I suggest not that you “get rid of” your mind, but that you focus on consciousness. Bring your focus to your third eye; really allow this space to come alive… feel it activating between your eyebrows.
  1. Conscious breathing is the easiest and simplest way to bring yourself into this moment – so now bring yourself into the moment. Start to breathe energy up from the earth, expanding and opening as you inhale, feel the energy flowing up and through your central channel. Then slowly exhale, letting out sound and releasing any distraction, stress or tension with the out-breath. *Breath, sound and movement are the pillars of any practice held in the tradition of Tantra, as they are what allow the body to become involved.*
  1. Bring your hands to your heart, keeping your third eye open, keeping the connection with the breath and now also bringing focus to your heart and your hips, slowly bringing some movement into the latter.
  1. Start to connect with whatever it is that your heart deeply longs for, whatever your being truly desires. Trust your intuition, it holds the truth.
  1. Contemplate what your intention is… What are you wanting to manifest in your life and why? I want you to get very clear on your why, taking some time to feel into it. If it’s money you desire, what are you going to do with that money? See it, feel it. If it’s a relationship, what is happening in that relationship and how is it making you feel?
  1. Start to see a future version of yourself, where you are, receiving whatever it is that you desire. Start to imagine that whatever you desire, whatever feels most important to you, as a light coming towards you. Then see that light turning into some kind of representation of your manifestation. Maybe it’s an object, maybe it’s a personification, maybe it’s just a colour.
  1. Now imagine that your root chakra (the base of your spine) is opening, welcoming in whatever it is that you desire to receive – joy, peace, money, relationship, fun, a car etc. Whatever it is, welcome that energy into your base chakra. Imagine your body, where it meets the seat, opening up and welcoming in this energy. Feel a new level of receptivity coming into your body. Feel the energy entering you and breathe it into every cell of your body.
  1. Feel what radiates from you when you’re receiving this energy, focus on your third eye and see the life you would have if this was a reality, feel how you would feel if you had this life. Continue allowing yourself to receive whatever it is you desire.
  1. If there’s any tension, contraction or fears coming up, notice them and hold yourself with loving compassion. Let the expansion of the good feelings enter your body as you inhale, tuning into all the good feelings. On the exhale, let the tension and fear release with breath, sound and movement. Remember to keep moving your hips – we hold a lot of stuck energy there!
  1. Observe the fears as they come up, maybe you don’t think you’re good enough, you don’t think you can do it, manage it etc. Feel whatever is alive and if it feels right, bring some gentle shaking to your body to help you release these fears. Remember to stay connected to your breath. If you feel no fear that’s ok too!
  1. Take a moment now to reflect on your historical connection to whatever you’re manifesting. Intuitively move your body, feeling where there may be stuck tension from the past e.g. if there’s been a lot of worry and scarcity mindset linked with money, you want to support your nervous system to expand into linking money with good feelings. Otherwise, you will continue to sabotage your relationship with money.

During this process, it’s likely that negative beliefs will come up, many of which may have been unconscious. If you don’t release these negative beliefs and tension points from your body, you will continue perpetuating the cycle of those beliefs to continue. As I said before, your thoughts create your reality – don’t let your reality be created from negative beliefs of the past.

Breathe into any negative beliefs you might have… often they are unconscious, so really take the time here to delve into what’s beneath the surface.

Some examples of negative beliefs are:

  • Earning money is hard work
  • Money is stressful
  • Relationships are hard work
  • I’m not good enough
  •  I don’t deserve this
  •  I’m not worthy

  1. Start to express and release these beliefs with breath, sound and movement. Discharging any stuck energy, the past, tension and stress from your body. As I said before, you hold a lot of energy in your hips and pelvis. Whenever you’re wanting to feel your emotions and release pain, involve the hips!

Try screaming into your hands while continuing to move your pelvis. It’s completely ok if you feel as though you have nothing specific to discharge; just feel the past, any fear and tension in your body discharging.

  1. Now stamp your feet from side to side, clench your hands into fists and raise them, let out sound, hit a pillow if you like… throw a tantrum! Letting any adrenaline and tension wash away.
  1. Next shake your entire body – remember to stay connected to your breath and to keep sounding!
  1. When you feel ready, bring your focus to your heart once again and feel any pain being stored there. Expand your chest on the in breath, opening your arms out wide and letting out sound. Feel what’s arising from your heart space… maybe it’s disappointment, betrayal, sadness etc. Whatever is there, hold it with loving compassion and let yourself feel it fully.
  1. Now I want you to roar – get in touch with your anger and let the sound come from your belly. This process might feel silly at first but notice how you feel after; how much more alive your body feels after expressing and releasing trapped tension.
  1. When you feel like you’ve emptied everything out, slowly bring your focus back to your third eye. Inhale up from the spine, opening your third eye into the vision of your future self. Expand and open your shoulders, then bring them down on the exhale, releasing and relaxing.
  1. See the life you want and see yourself living that life. Who are you in the vision you see? Let it feel good! Most of the time, it’s not what’s external to you that you want, but the feelings you’ll have when you get that thing or situation. Know that these feelings you seek are available to you NOW! Breathe them in and then breathe them back out into the world, creating a constant flow of good energy.

Feel how you would feel if you received love in the way you desire, if you achieved that goal, if you had that thing, made that money etc. Call those feelings into your body… Staying connected to your breath, keeping the hips moving as you let the joy and pleasure flood your being and then flow back out.

This process is how you start getting your nervous system used to that which you desire; expanding your capacity to hold it within you. Otherwise, nothing changes… You stay the same self who is not ready for an up-levelling and as such, you’ll continue to find ways to unconsciously sabotage your manifestations – it’s your body’s way of trying to stay in your comfort zone and avoid un-comfortability.

My invitation to you, if you would like to bring to reality all that you truly desire, is to commit to doing a practice like this every day. A practice of seeing, feeling and resonating with who you really are, because who you really are, is what will bring you the most ease, pleasure and joy!

This is not to say that pain won’t be there, however the most consistent feelings when you’re living a life of alignment, will be ease, pleasure and joy.

When you do this practice every day, holding those feelings of joy and pleasure, that is when you will manifest everything you desire. It’s also very important to bring in gratitude every day. Be grateful for the feelings that already exist inside you and for the manifestation that is already on its way to you; you are embodying it and so the universe will respond.

Another important note is that you don’t need to know exactly how this manifestation will come to fruition, you simply need to have faith and trust that it will. If you get too caught up in the logistics of how your greatest desires could ever possibly become real, that can create some serious blocks in your manifestation process.

As long as you have a felt sense in the body of what you want, the rest will unfold naturally! Sometimes you might also be unclear about what exactly you’re trying to manifest, however if you know the feeling you want, that is enough – it can then be a delightful surprise when it comes to you!

Have such deep trust in the manifestation process that you know without a doubt – when you’re committed to this practice of seeing, feeling, believing and resonating – whatever it is your manifesting, is coming to you.

This is the practice I’ve committed to, and time and time again, my manifestations have come to fruition. When I look at my life a year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago etc, everything I was manifesting is all here now. Of course, this has involved a certain level of action taking and commitment to make what I want a reality… This coupled with the practice I’ve just given you, has enabled me to create a life beyond my wildest imaginings.
